There are several platforms out there that are well suited for most industries, but we are diehard WordPress believers when it comes to blogs (or any other website, for that matter).
Her previous website was functional but she knew it didn't capture the essence of her brand. She also needed a platform with more robust features for her growing blog.
In our initial communication we both agreed that she needed a brand/website that exemplified both her expertise and personality. We worked extensively on building her brand and website around her brand words - honesty, trust, humor, reliability, and expertise.
To mesh both personality and expertise we relied primarily on color and shape psychology. We used playful and organic shapes to bring a bit of playfulness and humor to her site, cooler tones of color to exemplify trust, reliability, and expertise, and the use of icons to add a touch of professionalism. The end result is something we are proud, our client loves, and makes for a better Brand Experience from start to finish.
